Step 1: Design the component on the CAD System
This can be performed in a number of ways:
  • Manually inputting the dimensions into the CAD system
  • Existing templates can be scanned using Exact Technology's MasterTrace
  • Profile Capturing System
  • A0 digitising tablet
  • Desk top scanner

Step 2: Send the design to the cutting machine
  • The cutting machine is capable of processing a range of materials at high speed.
  • The automated cutter eliminates many restraints associated with conventional methods of cutting such as producing expensive hard tooling , such as cutting dies, and the time consuming process of cutting by hand.
  • Samples/prototypes can be manufactured quickly and accurately with repeatability assured every time.

Step 3: Finished components produced in minutes
  • Design modifications can be incorporated with instantaneous results
  • Production costs and delivery times significantly reduced
  • Overall production time reduced - cut samples produced in minutes rather than hours as found with hand cutting
