EXACT TECHNOLOGY & MISOMEX BECOME PART OF ATOM GROUP

ATOM SpA is pleased to announce that it has purchased the technology assets and intellectual property relating to the products designed and produced by EXACT TECHNOLOGY LTD of Northampton UK. ( CAD/CAM CUTTING SYSTEMS, SAMPLE MAKERS, FLAT-BED CUTTING MACHINES AND  PLOTTERS ) 

ATOM was established in 1946 and since then it has been designing, producing and distributing cutting systems for industrial applications. More than 150,000 cutting machines of all kinds are installed worldwide. ATOM has a worldwide presence through its network of branch offices and distributors, with the headquarters in Vigevano, Italy and direct subsidiaries in China, Brazil, Germany, France, Spain. The aggregated turnover of the group is above 50 million Euro.

EXACT TECHNOLOGY (formally Misomex) has installed in excess of 1200 machines in 36 countries.  These installations embrace many industries – technical textiles, composite structures, printing / packaging, engineering, gaskets, electronic components, leather etc.

A new company has been formed to handle the sales and service of the full range of both EXACT and Atom products. ATOM UK is located in Rushden, Northamptonshire - within 25Km of the former EXACT location. The UK operation also merged  with the business of JOHN HOWE SERVICES, and John and his team will continue to support the Atom Italy products. 

Thanks to the full complementarity of products within the ATOM and EXACT ranges, the combination of the offering is now able to offer solutions for nearly every cutting application. 

ATOM will take responsibility for the support of the installed based of EXACT products. Only ATOM Group, or its approved distributors, is the approved source of genuine parts and consumables. It has been brought to our attention that some non-approved service and components are being supplied by third-party organisations and this may result in premature failure of the equipment. In particular, support of the electronic control system is only available via ATOM; this includes diagnostics, spare parts and exchange units.     

Key members of the EXACT management team have been integrated into ATOM include Peter Miller (Sales), Warren Thompson (Technical Sales) and Richard Benad (Production / Service co-ordination). Peter Miller will supervise worldwide sales and marketing activities for the EXACT product range, while John Howe will be responsible for ATOM UK, with Massimo Tinelli representing the parent company on the Board of Directors.
